With its 20,000 H2O Schmerbers waterproofing, this jacket offers the ideal protection to keep you prepared for changing weather conditions! Rigorously tested in the laboratory, it can withstand 18 cm of rain in 2 hours, reproducing the conditions of an average storm in the mountains.
Unlike traditional waterproof jackets, this jacket truly breathes, thanks to its highly breathable fabric (RET=6) and its wide side openings. The result? You avoid condensation inside the jacket and remain dry inside AND out, while you climb!
Fitted cut with raglan sleeves for maximum stretch! This design completely frees your movements on your mountain hikes. You can easily wear a fleece jacket or lightweight down jacket underneath, depending on the weather conditions and the altitude you reach.
This hood can be precisely adjusted in height with its elastic cord and tightening piece, while its semi-rigid peak provides effective protection. The advantage? A triangular side opening improves your peripheral vision.
This jacket has a built-in, ultra-thin polyurethane film between the inner and outer layers. It blocks water on the outside while wicking away your sweat. Flexible, lightweight and breathable, this membrane guarantees durable performance and resistance for your mountain adventures.
Waterproofing capacity is measured in a laboratory according to the JIS 1092 standard. The resistance of a fabric to outside water pressure is tested and expressed as the height of a water column in mm: the higher it is, the better! With a rating of 20,000 Schmerbers, this jacket can withstand the pressure of a 20 m column of water.
Thermal Evaporative Resistance measures the ability of a fabric to wick away body moisture. The lower the RET, the better! At RET=6, this jacket offers exceptional moisture wicking. Scale: <6 = extremely breathable, <12 = highly breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.
Two simple methods to revive water-repellency! The capacity of fabric to see water slide off it without absorbing it, to maintain a light weight and breathability. Place your jacket in a tumble drier for 10 minutes at a low temperature.
