405 g in size 8½. The Artengo STRONG Pro shoes are among the heavy shoes in the "advanced shoe" category. 35 g heavier than the FAST Pro, they provide greater stability and support for players looking for safety.
The outsole is made from ultra-robust RUBLAST rubber. By studying how tennis players move on the court, we were able to create an optimal sole shape to obtain extreme robustness.
The KPU upper confers optimal support on the court (Forefoot Support technology). The upper is reinforced around the toes and instep for greater robustness while sliding and moving around the court.
A rigid plastic insert at the heel guarantees optimal foot support while playing.
A plastic shank stiffens the sole for maximum front-to-back stability while pushing off.
After several years of R&D by Artengo and the Decathlon SportsLab, the patented Lateral Cushioning System (Lateral CS) guarantees lower impacts from the ground for tennis players. Mechanical studies carried out on tennis players' movements revealed that "high impact robustness" foam, when placed strategically in the sole, could reduce the force of impact by 13% (compared to the Artengo TS990 20).
