We developed your jacket for intense wintry conditions: extreme cold, snow, wind. Insulation is provided by thick wadding made of a synthetic component that insulates thanks to the air trapped in its fibres. We added a long inner flap underneath the zip to stop cold air from entering. The tightening at the bottom of the jacket is the finishing touch to ensure your parka is comfortable.
Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The covering hood, wrist cuffs and stand-up collar all help to keep out the cold. The high handwarmer pockets with fleece lining are perfect for protecting your hands in a comfortable position.
The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerbers or mm H2O (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket is made from a waterproof fabric (JIS 1092 standard) resistant to 15,000mm H2O (Schmerbers) before washing.
Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its fully-taped seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.
Practical and smart details: 2 zipped handwarmer pockets, 1 secure inner pocket, 1 mesh inner pocket to keep your belongings close at hand. The main fastening has a long zip pull with double slider to ventilate your jacket when you're using it. Also very practical for bending down, sitting comfortably or cycling.

To ensure the durability of our products, we perform tests on the selected components: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colour fastness, resistance to repeated washing. All these tests have been carried out on the component on your jacket.
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.
To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle: layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry. layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outwards. layer 3: The jacket protects you from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind. The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
