10.5 mm with 38% polyamide sheath: excellent resistance to wear.
Compatible with most ascenders on the market.
65 g/m, measured according to the EN 1891 standard.
Описание
This rope has been tested with the main ascenders on the market under normal conditions. Before use, make sure your ascender is compatible with a 10.5 mm rope and carry out a test in a safe environment, such as on the ground or in an area where there is no risk of falling.
EN 1891: 1998
Static elongation: 3.8% Breaking strength: 3060 daN Breaking strength with figure of eight knot: 1500 daN Weight: 65 g/m Length: 40 metres Shrinkage in water: 3.6% Type: A
Unlike “static” ropes with no elongation, semi-static ropes have a low coefficient of elongation: not enough to absorb a fall, but enough to soften violent jolts on the anchor and the user in the event of a small slip.
Semi-static ropes have low elongation, insufficient to absorb the force of a fall. If used to arrest a fall in climbing, they would transmit a violent shock to both the climber and the anchor, endangering the safety and well-being of those involved. This limited elongation is precisely the benefit of a semi-static rope: it allows the user to climb or work at height without the rope bouncing.
