Put the elastic at the bottom of the baby ski suit over the boot to prevent snow and draughts from getting inside the snow boot.
To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: - Layer 1 or thermal base layer to stay dry. - Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. - Layer 3 against bad weather.
Our designers use wadding to keep the body warm. This polyester-based synthetic component traps more or less air depending on its thickness. The thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is. The baby snowsuit has 150g/sqm wadding.
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 2,000mm water column. A quality guarantee for this baby ski suit.
Use this clever system to attach Decathlon baby mittens onto the sleeves of their Decathlon baby ski suit and jacket. In their quest for independence, your kid can attach the mittens on the sleeves on their own without going wrong thanks to the fun design of the accessories! Just combine the colours and animal heads will take shape. The mittens will always be to hand, and on the right hand!
A water-repellent fabric lets water run off its surface, without absorbing it: the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and breathable. You can see drops of water beading and running off the surface of the fabric. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes).
To reactivate the water-repellent property, wash the garment inside out on a synthetic cycle at 30°C and rinse thoroughly. You can use your usual washing powder but no fabric softener. Then leave your baby ski suit to air-dry completely on a drying rack. Finally, turn your garment the right way round and put it in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 minutes. The heat will reactivate the water-repellent property of the fabric.
