To check the wear on your tyres, inspect the tread.A tyre should be replaced if you can see the protective strip (or underlay) or if the tread pattern has worn away.If either of these signs is visible, we recommend replacing the tyre.
Start by removing the wheel and deflating your tyre. Then push the sides of the tyre to detach them from the rim.Use DECATHLON tyre levers (ref. : 8930710) as levers to pull one side of the tyre over the edge of the rim. Attach a tyre lever on a spoke and continue the operation along the entire side.Once the tyre is partially released, pull it by hand to remove it completely from the rim.
First of all, install the tubeless valve (Ref. 8817242). Attach one side of the tyre, then the other, starting with the valve. Inflate the tyre until you hear a ‘tap’ confirming that it is correctly positioned. To inject the preventative, deflate the tyre, remove the valve core and use the tubeless liquid. (Ref. : 8814747). Put the valve back in place, re-inflate the tyre and spin the wheel so that the liquid settles.
When inflating the tyre, check that it is properly seated on the rim. Then look at the markings on the sidewall of the tyre. Adjust the pressure according to these values to ensure proper inflation.
