Description
To keep warm and dry, use the 3-breathable-layers rule: Layer 1 or second skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or a protective layer, to protect against bad weather.
We lab-test each of our products so that we can provide you with a indicative value on the item's comfort. This comfort indicator is measured without tights for trousers, and with a thermal t-shirt and a fleece for jackets. The measurement indicated is that of the external temperature in which the testers are neither warm, nor cold. Of course, this perceived temperature varies in line with the intensity of the activity and the metabolism of the individual.
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Thanks to its 10000mm waterproofness the fabric of the 500 Warm LONG jacket resists the pressure exerted by 10000mm of water. For skiing, we recommend components between 3000 mm and 20,000 mm.
To optimise the performance and durability of your ski trousers or jacket, we recommend the following: * Machine wash at 30°, synthetic programme. * Turn the product inside out. * Add a small amount of detergent. No softener. * Spin between 800 and 1200 rpm. * Dry flat or tumble dry (preferably). This step is very important to fully dry the inner fibres and restore the loft to your jacket.
During the two-year guarantee period, if your product can be repaired (hooks, seams, zips, etc.), the repairs are done free of charge. Beyond this time period, they can still be done for a fee, locally in your usual shop.
