Description
The story behind the Score 500 began three years ago. It all started with the desire to offer rugby players a high-quality boot that was comfortable, hard-wearing and light and which responded to their needs. Our design team joined forces with our ambassadors and rugby-playing Decathlon employees to make the boot a reality.
In designing the Score 500, we based our work on one key area: your comfort. “We used a scanner to measure the feet of 700 rugby players, both children and adults, in the Lille area. We realised that rugby players have feet that are one size larger than the average in Europe,” said Anthony, a product engineer. When choosing your boots, be sure to go up one size to leave space for thick socks and the natural swelling of your feet that happens when playing.
"To make a boot that is as light as possible but hard-wearing with it." That was the challenge that our product engineer Anthony set himself. The result is a sleek, snug-fitting, one-piece boot that feels light. Small inlays on either side and a rigid sole make this a strong boot, allowing players to express themselves on the pitch.
Made with a fine material, the Score 500 feels like a second skin. That feel is enhanced by the pebbling on the front of the boot, which enhances grip when striking the ball.
