The 450 g/m² fabric is specially woven for BJJ and has multiple reinforcements
A fit specially designed for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The bottoms have a drawstring to hold them in place.
Description
Brazilian jiu-jitsu emphasizes ground combat and grappling techniques. So it's important to have a durable, thick uniform to withstand grabs. We've also designed a fit that limits your opponent's ability to grip and added reinforcements with double seams on the knees, shoulders, and armpits. For greater durability, the main pieces of the uniform are triple stitched together. The thick, rigid EVA foam collar is harder for your opponent to grab.
The polyester built into our uniform makes the fabric both lighter weight and more durable. Plus, the cotton-polyester blend reduces shrinkage after multiple washings. Drying is also faster than with a 100% cotton model.
Here is a guide to help you choose your uniform size: - A0: up to 165 cm and 65 kg - A1: up to 175 cm and 75 kg - A2: up to 185 cm and 85 kg - A3: up to 195 cm and 95 kg Keep in mind that a BJJ uniform will tend to shrink the first three times it is washed. It might be smart to choose a model that is 5 to 10 cm longer than the size of the jiu-jitsuka.
We recommend fully airing out your uniform after each use and cleaning it often. Be sure that it is stored in a dry, well-ventilated place after each use. The first few times you wash it, use a cold water cycle. After that, be sure not to exceed a wash temperature of 30°C. Do not tumble dry. Is your uniform a bit too large? You can try washing it at 40°C to cause slight shrinkage.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) was created in Brazil and gained international recognition following the victories of the Gracie family in the first mixed martial arts competitions in the United States. The discipline emphasizes ground techniques, promoting strength, flexibility, and endurance while boosting self-confidence. An essential part of the MMA fighter's arsenal, BJJ is critical for mastering floor combat.
