The ROADPROTECT+ hybrid bike tyre has 2 levels of protection: 1. The first protection is a 3mm high-density rubber strip located under the tread. 2. The second protection is a polyamide strip located under the first protective layer. This combination of rubber and polyamide protection provides an excellent level of puncture-resistance. We tested it in the lab. It earned a score of 5/5.
We measure a tyre's puncture resistance in the lab. The perforating elements are calibrated to mimic the spines, glass shards, etc that you may encounter on roads and trails. Depending on its resistance, each tyre gets a score from 1 to 5/5. The strongest tyres on the market get a score of 5/5.
