Description
Your table football table is 150 cm long, 76 cm wide, and 92 cm high. The play area measures 115 x 68 cm. Its feet are 5 cm thick and 10 cm wide. It has a point counter for each team (10 points) and 6 cork balls (36 mm diameter). Your football table weighs: 70 kg, which means stability. We generally say that beyond 65 kg, you don't need to worry about whether your table will move during your most heated moments!
Your table will arrive disassembled in a single box measuring 155 cm long, 84 cm wide, 40 cm thick, and with a diagonal of 152 cm. Your full kit weighs around 80 kg.
When playing table football, control is important. For controlled, powerful play, we chose a soft cork ball to reduce noise and make technical moves easier. This ball allows you to make good forward passes and both straight and crossed shots. Also, the combination of our ball and pitch (play surface) will make it easier to achieve controlled shots like pull-shots, pulls, or pushes.
Our team went for an unmarked grey pitch and 106 g black and white players. The structure is a light wood colour, and its borders, ramps, and feet are black. All to blend easily into your home, no matter your interior decoration style.
We opted for telescopic bars (rather than crossbars), firstly because they are specific to French table football, but also and above all for safety reasons. Crossbars protrude from either side of the table and can be a hazard for children. Our bar measures 15.8 mm in diameter (compared with 14.5 mm on the previous version of this football table), making it more rigid and durable.
Table football is above all a game of feeling, and that's why grip on the handles is important. Our team chose round handles with non-slip ridges for a better grip. Although they use your hands and wrists more, you won't need to force to get power behind your shots.
The BF500 comes with round handles, providing a good grip and powerful shots. For greater control, opt for long handles (available at Decathlon, code 8820473). They are also easier for children to grasp. The choice depends on your habits: round or long handles, off you go!
1. Before each game, check all the screws. 2. Maintain your telescoping bars as soon as you hear any squeaking. To do so, use Vaseline oil for example. 3. Vacuum your table football mat to remove dust and dirt. And for more stubborn stains, use soapy water and the soft side of a sponge. 4. The structure and feet can be easily cleaned using a cloth and a multi-use product.
Your table respects the norms of French-style table football. Both in its style and its type of play. - its style: a wood-coloured box with rounded edges and metallic players. - its type of play: round handles, cork balls, and pitch. Allowing you to achieve: blocks, side passes, ball control for a dynamic, controlled game - in short, true French table football ;)
French-style table football differs from its cousins in 5 main ways: the wood structure, metal players, a pitch that encourages control, and telescoping bars. Its table surface combined with its cork or composite plastic ball allows for blocks, side passes, and ball control to make play both controlled and dynamic.
Oh, spinning, that infamous move that was often called as a foul back in high school. Did you know that spins are allowed if they're controlled? In other words, less than one turn before the shot and less than one turn after. Like all technical moves, spinning has its advantages and disadvantages: you can hit harder, which is fun! BUT, it's harder to aim, feint, get the ball back from your opponent, etc.
