This weight tolerance is due to the centrifugation process used to manufacture fishing weights.

Even before mounting the lure, place the jighead along the body of your soft lure. Align the lure head with the jighead. Look at where the bend in the hook ends. It is precisely at this point, on the back of the lure, that the point of the hook should emerge. Make a small, discreet mark with your fingernail on the back of the lure at this point. This will be your exit guide.
Insertion: Take your jighead and put the tip of the hook in the centre of the end of your soft lure. Centring is crucial from the outset. If you are out of line, your lure will swim sideways. Guidance: Slide the soft lure along the hook following its curve. Gently push the head of the lure while keeping it well aligned. Make sure the hook shank remains in the centre of the lure body.
Exit: Keep moving the lure forward until you approach the mark you made in step 1. At this point, bring out the tip of the hook precisely on your mark. The tip should come out on the back of the lure, in the middle. Finish: Push the lure all the way to the end of the shank so that the head of the lure comes to rest firmly against the jighead. The lure should not be pressed down or over-stretched.
The drop of glue: If the fish tend to pull the lures off, put a small drop of Super Glue on the shank of the jighead before sticking the lure head on. Your rig will be much stronger. Adapting the jighead to the lure: Make sure the hook size matches the size of your lure. In general, the tip should protrude between the first third and half of the lure.
