Front zip closure
Open at the arms to permit complete freedom of movement
Description
Wash using a slightly damp sponge.
The airbag you have just purchased IS NOT ACTIVATED and requires a significant movement on your part to make it operational. You need to "arm" the airbag on the same principle as changing the cartridge and attaching the leash. You'll find everything you need to help you at the bottom of this page, under "Site Support (FAQ, user guide...)" Explanations are laid out in the user guide and explanatory video below.
You can find all the detailed explanations in the manual, via the QR code on the manual, and you can find a video of the product images on the Internet. We recommend that an adult change the cartridge on junior Airbag body protector to ensure that the product is properly (re)armed.
Refer to the table in the product images. Consider the following 2 measurements: chest circumference and back length (also see the user guide). If you find your measurements corresponding to two different sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size indicated for your product.
CE CERTIFICATION - This Air Bag Body Protector is in compliance with EU regulation 2016/425 and the NF S72-800 standard for Protective Clothing for Equestrian Activities - Jackets and Body Protectors for Horse Riders, with Inflatable Cushions. Certified by ALIENOR Certification ZA du Santal 21 rue Albert Einstein 86100 Châtellerault - France (2754) The average trigger speed is 138 milliseconds for all junior sizes.
The Airbag should always be worn over the rest of your riding equipment. Wearing clothing on top may prevent the airbag from opening and slow the inflation time, and you risk being overcompressed by the inflated body protector during a fall. An airbag protector should not be worn cinched.
The airbag attaches to the saddle at the stirrup knives using the "saddle strap", which connects to the airbag using a leash with a snap hook ("connection strap"). In the case of a fall or a sudden significant tension on the leash, the leash will detach from the body protector, causing it to inflate. All you need to "re-arm" it is to replace the cartridge with a new one and re-attach the system. All explanations are available in the user guide.
The airbag protector is sold with a gas cartridge that should be replaced after each inflation. The cartridge for kids' airbags must be 63cc/46g (ref: 5323924) The use of any other brand of cartridge voids all manufacturer's warranties and responsibilities. The same applies to the accessories needed for the body protector to work properly (saddle strap and leash with carabiner (known as the "connection strap")). All parts are available from after-sales on our website.
Please note: a body protector airbag must not be folded or exposed to extreme heat (back shelf of a car not recommended).
In the EEC, the Airbag body protector can only be worn in competitions when paired with a body protector that meets current standards, currently BETA level 3, CE EN 13158:2009.
