80g/sqm wadding on the body section & 60g/sqm on the arms, comfort temp. of -4°C
10,000 mm waterproof fabric, sealed seams.
RET = 12: very breathable jacket. Ventilation zips.
Components resist abrasion, tearing and traction force.
Description
Protection that isn’t worn is protection that isn’t doing its job: that’s why we create technologies that make them less cumbersome, more comfortable and practical. This is the case with the Ziprotec system, which allows you to zip your back protector directly to your jacket.
- 2 hand pockets - 2 large chest pockets (inside and outside) - 1 inner mesh pocket - 1 ski pass pocket - 1 mask cloth - Snow skirt - Adjustable sleeve cuffs - Ventilation zips - Wrist cuffs - Adjustable hood
The waterproof component and the assembly prevent water getting in. The seams are waterproof, and the zips are under a protective flap. This jacket has been tested in a special shower that reproduces the conditions of the ski resorts, and in the field for several days in different weather conditions.
A fabric's water-repellent property is its ability to let water slide off its surface without soaking in. The fabric doesn’t soak up water and so remains lightweight, breathable and warm. It is made from a treatment on the outside of the fabric, which must be renewed (every 3 washes).
Warmth is delivered where and when it's needed. It has 80 g/sqm of wadding on the body section and 60 g/sqm on the arms and the hood. There are tightenings at the hem of the jacket, around the cuffs and by the hood, which prevents air, and therefore the cold, from getting in.
The RET, or the evaporative resistance of the material (ISO 11092 standard), is 12. The lower this rating, the more water vapour generated by the body evaporates. RET < 9 = extremely breathable 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable 12 < RET < 20 = breathable RET > 20 = little or no breathability.
The coating is similar to that of a paint applied inside the fabric that makes the fabric waterproof, while still remaining breathable. It is often less expensive than a membrane and requires a liner to protect it.
During the two-year guarantee period, if your product can be repaired (hooks, seams, zips, etc.), the repairs are done free of charge. Beyond this time period, they can still be done for a fee, locally in your usual shop.
Between 0.99 kg in size XS and 1.19 kg in size 3XL. 1.08 kg in size L.
When skiing, we talk about the three-layer rule: A first thermal layer (ski base layer), a second layer (fleece or down jacket) and a third layer, your jacket. Adapt the second layer to suit the conditions, or take along a bag so you can take it off during the day.
The water-repellency of your jacket must be regularly reactivated (every three washes): over time, even if it remains waterproof thanks to its material, the jacket seems to start absorbing water. To do this, use a reactivating spray or a treatment reapplication product, and follow the tutorial in the customer service section of our website.
