Description
Length: 3 m Transport length: 1.55 m Weight: 200 g Number of guides: 14 Casting weight: 20 - 60 g Action: Semi-Parabolic Materials: carbon + fibreglass. Number of sections: 2+3 Supplied with 3 carbon tips: 30 g, 45 g and 60 g Supplied with a fabric bag.
30 g/1 oz carbon tip: 8640825 45 g/1.5 oz carbon tip: 8640826 60 g/2 oz carbon tip: 8640827 Rod middle section: 8645024
Carbon tips are completely black at the fitting base, whereas fibreglass tips are translucent.
A fibreglass tip is very flexible, which makes it very sensitive to bites but also to weather conditions such as wind... it is therefore best suited to fishing difficult fish in calm weather conditions (no wind).
A carbon tip is more rigid but no less sensitive to bites at the same casting weight as fibreglass. Its stiffness helps reduce tip wobble caused by the wind, while pole allowing bite detection. It is therefore suitable for the majority of fishing conditions.
