100% Canadian maple, 7-ply deck for excellent pop (bounce).
The cold pressing technique and selected glue provide very good durability.
Medium curve for better control
The 8.25" size provides an excellent balance of stability and manoeuvrability
Description
This board is made from 7 layers of Canadian maple (Hard Rock Maple) which is the best type of wood for making technical skateboards. The board is cold pressed to guarantee better resistance over time. We use a high-performance water-based glue that is notably less polluting than Epoxy resins.
Length: 31.9" (78.74 cm) Width: 8.25" (20.95 cm) Wheel base: 14.2" (36 cm) Nose length: 176mm Tail length: 168mm Curve type: medium
Our maple boards are individually cold pressed. This means that each mould only presses one board at a time. This allows us to guarantee optimal pressure distribution so that each board of the same model has the exact same shape and curve. Which is an advantage for those who enjoy skating with the same shape.
About 1.2 kg. Because the decks are hand sanded and the density of each ply of wood may be different, the weight of each deck may vary slightly. Of course, the deck is only one component that determines the weight of your skateboard. The wheel size and trucks also have a strong impact.
For the DK100 models, we designed the sleekest deck possible to make it very affordable to those on a budget or skaters that break a lot of boards. We therefore removed everything we could without changing how the deck works. No more graphics, no coloured folds in the 7 layers of maple that make up the deck and the technical info is concentrated on a simple sticker. The deck comes taped to lower costs.
A skateboard deck should be chosen based on the width you need. A narrower deck means easier handling (great for beginners and shorter riders). The wider the deck, the more stable it is and the safer your landings, making this type of deck good for taller skateboarders or those who like to ride the half-pipes. Sizes are given in inches. 1 inch = 2.54 cm. The length and wheelbase also have a major impact on deck handling and stability
