Description
The membraned fabric used to make these trousers has a 5000 mm waterproof rating. We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the tissue is. The design of the trousers and the taped seams allow you to stay dry for 2 hours in a rain shower which is equivalent to 60 litres of water per m2 per hour.
To find out if a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's RET, the more water vapour generated by an active body escapes through the fabric, and the higher the breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric. For these trousers RET < 12 = breathable fabric.
The 5 loops can hold a 5cm wide belt. Adjustable tabs with grip tape allow you to adjust the trousers to your waist. For greater comfort there is no stitching between the thighs to prevent rubbing. Hemstitched polyester lining for greater comfort against the skin and improved breathability. The lace hook at the bottom of the leg keeps your trousers snugly over your boots when you move around.
When you're active snags can happen. The good news is that they can be repaired! You can apply an iron-on patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or the fibres from coming out. A patch, scissors, an iron and that's it!
