Elongated shape with affined rails. Back of the board in round pin tail
Description
This high-performance 2+1 mid-length board is ideal for carving in all types of waves. It is ideal for powerful point break waves of up to 2m. It holds up very well in hollow waves such as beachbreaks. Fitted with 2 Twin fins, it’ll be more playful but with a little less drive in more hollow waves. Fins NOT included
6’8 x 20” 3/4 x 2” 11/16 203 x 53 x 7 cm Volume 40 L Weight 3.7 kg without fins
Co-creation with Jeremy Smith (Hendaye). Elongated outline. Hull: the spoon at the front makes it easier to take off in hollow waves, and ends in a double concave at the rear three quarters of the board for greater manoeuvrability. Random bevel-shaped rails for better entry into the water when changing leverage.
Laminated with a 30 kg/m3 walnut EPS with epoxy resin and fibreglass. Top: 2 x 6 oz layers 1 x 4 oz layer Underside: 1 x 6 oz layer Dift box reinforcement in 4 oz Paulownia 5 mm wooden slat.
We chose this type of construction for our surfboards, because it offers numerous advantages. Epoxy resin is more resistant to impacts and crushing than polyester resin. The board is more reactive and can gather more speed The EPS foam (expanded polystyrene) floats better, meaning that, for the same volume, you have more buoyancy than with a polyester /polyurethane board.
Delivered without fins. side 4” FCS1 ref/ (8751381) and central us box 7” ref/(8750883) available in store or on Decathlon.com. Choosing the right fins: For powerful waves and a weight of over 70 kg, the 2 +1 set-up with a 7” single fin and 4” side stabilisers. For smaller waves, single or twin assembly. Ideal twin set-up with Keel stabilisers.
The board has a Flexi Hex® honeycomb case inside a sturdy box. This case is reusable in your surfing cover to protect it while transporting.
