Description
- 4 billiards cue sticks: two 500 US cue sticks 500 US (145 cm), two 300 US sticks (122 cm and 145 cm). - 1 cue stick extension with a bridge and cross rest. - 15 numbered pool balls (162 g) with a 57.2 mm diameter + 1 cue ball. - 15 red and yellow English billiards balls (162 g) with a 57.2 mm diameter + 1 cue ball. - 1 standard rack and 1 diamond-shaped rack for 9-ball. - 1 cue stick holder. - 4 chalk cubes and 2 chalk holders. - 1 brush and 1 protective cover
Your BT 700 billiards table and its accessories come unassembled in a single box measuring 1.26 m high, 2.22 m long, 19 cm thick, and 2.55 m on the diagonal. Your full BT 700 kit weighs 109kg.
How to assemble the table* Requires 2 people and will take about 30 minutes :) 1. Assemble and attach the table's 4 feet with the included wrench. 2. Screw the 4 adjustable feet 3. Attach the rack and ball holders. 4. Turn the table over together, taking care to not set it on your feet. Now what? It's time to start playing! *User guide included in your pack.
The complete BT 700 kit weighs 109kg, the table weighs 90kg. The table measures 80 cm high, 2.14 m long, and 1.18 cm wide with a playing surface measuring 9.6 x 1.92 m. The cushions are 37 mm high and the bed is 18 mm. The table's pockets have a 12 cm opening and can hold up to 7 balls.
The bed is made from a medium density wood fibre composite called Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). This design choice makes the table light, level, smooth. We drew inspiration from aeronautical technology (see Unique features) by adding stringers underneath the bed to further reinforce it, render it less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, and help the bed withstand impacts during play.
In the design of longitudinal frames on aeroplane wings, stringers, coupled with the fuselage's ribs and frame, strengthen the structure to support pressure and deformations. Following the same idea, we have added metallic stringers and longerons underneath the bed. A reinforced design prevents the drooping that occurs on tables lacking a good structure, including slate tables.
Your billiards table includes sights (called diamonds) on the frame for improved accuracy. Its net pockets are quiet. Its felt. Its feet are adjustable and made of metal. The stainless steel corners are reinforced and round for improved safety. Finally, your billiards table is certified FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), guaranteeing that forests are managed in a way.
You can tell the two cue sports apart by their balls.Pool uses numbered striped and solid balls while English billiards (also called blackball) uses yellow and red balls. They are also different in their rules and tactics.For example, it is more common to go on the "offensive" in pool, but you are more likely to play "defence" in blackball.
You have to feel comfortable to play billiards, and this largely depends, among other things, on the playing area. The best way to delimit this area is to have the length of a billiards cue (1.45 m) on each side of your table And you must provide for an extra 5cm for your stroke (the back and forth motion of the cue before your hit). In a nutshell? You need 21.5m² for the BT 700 billiards table (or 514 x 418cm).
Our team recommends brushing your table after each use. From time to time, depending on how much you play, vacuum it as well. Avoid moving it Be careful of changes in temperature and humidity. Remember to cover the table with the tarp after each use. Lastly, clean the balls with lukewarm water mixed with a drop of detergent. Dry them with a soft cloth.
