These muffs are made of a layer of coated, windproof, waterproof fabric, a soft and comfortable layer to keep your hands warm, and a stiff layer between them to hold the muffs in place as you ride. Product dimensions:35 x 30 cm One size. In black with reflective strips.
Everyone responds differently to the cold, and some people are more sensitive than others. There are several factors that help explain the differences in feeling: > the intensity of the activity > each individual's metabolism > blood circulation > and more. These muffs can be used with or without gloves.
- A WATER-REPELLENT TREATMENT A fluorine-free chemical recipe placed on the fabric's surface to make water slide off it. This treatment can be reactivated by heat (10 minutes in the tumble drier on a gentle cycle). - A WATERPROOF CONSTRUCTION The aim is to avoid water getting in through the holes in the seams by placing a waterproof strip under the seams. - A WATERPROOF FABRIC A fabric's capacity to prevent water from penetrating it.
Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column). A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O can resist 10 metres of water. The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.
Our muffs are tested using a thermal hand in a lab with temperatures from 5°C to -20°C and winds from 10 km/h to 25 km/h. The 900 city bike handlebar muffs are rated 5 out of 5 for warmth. Recommended temperature: -10°C Limit temperature: -20°C
