Description
The membraned fabric used to make these trousers has a 5000 mm waterproof rating. The strength of the fabric is measured in water pressure, expressed in mm, through the water column test (based on the standard test ISO 811). The greater the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. The design of the trousers and the taped seams allow you to stay dry for 2 hours in a rain shower equivalent to 60 litres of water per m2 per hour.
To find out if a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric’s RET, the more water vapour generated by an active body escapes through the fabric, and the higher the breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric. For these trousers RET < 12 = breathable fabric.
The 8 loops can take a 4cm wide belt. 2 hand pockets with large openings for easy access to your items. For greater comfort there is no stitching between the thighs to prevent rubbing. Hemstitched polyester lining for greater comfort against the skin and improved breathability.
When you’re active, snags can happen. The good news is that they can be repaired! You can apply an iron-on patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or the fibres from coming out. A patch, scissors, an iron and that’s it!
