Women's cut designed to fit you when in the saddle. The pre-shaped knees leave your legs free to move. The high elasticated waistband with silicone bands sits snugly against your waist to protect your back. The long, fitted hems won't catch the wind or get snagged on your bike. These overtrousers have been designed to be slipped on over your normal trousers, so choose your usual size.
- A WATER-REPELLENT TREATMENT A fluorine-free chemical recipe placed on the fabric's surface to make water slide off it. This treatment can be reactivated by heat (10 minutes in the tumble drier on a gentle cycle). - A WATERPROOF CONSTRUCTION The aim is to avoid water getting in through the holes in the seams by placing a waterproof strip under the seams. - A WATERPROOF FABRIC A fabric's capacity to prevent water from penetrating it.
Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column). A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O can resist 10 metres of water. The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.
The hydrophilic membrane used limits condensation in the garment (RET<8 on most of the overtrousers and RET =<12 on the reinforced parts). To see whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric 9 < RET < 12 = highly breathable fabric 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric RET > 20 = slightly or not breathable fabric
Press-stud and zip at the waist. 3/4-length side opening with a waterproof zip. Very quick and easy to put on whether sitting or standing and with any kind of shoe.
The main areas that get rubbed - on the knees and bum - are reinforced with Neve fabric, which better stands up to friction.
These overtrousers do not come with overshoes. For the very best protection, we recommend getting a pair of waterproof overshoes that will fully cover your foot. This will fully protect your legs and feet indefinitely, even in very wet conditions.
The two-way zip lets you open them from the top a little, in order to get additional "mechanical" ventilation
