This poncho is made from a waterproof coated fabric and has 100% waterproof seams. A fabric's waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to the pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (test based on ISO 811 standard). Our material is resistant to the pressure from 5000 mm of water. The finished product's waterproofing is checked by a shower test in our laboratories under 60 litres of rainfall/hour/sqm for two hours, which replicates typical conditions during a downpour.
This poncho has a unisex fit and covers you from head to thighs. You can wear the helmet over or under the hood. Thanks to its loose fit, you can wear this poncho over your jacket and a 20-litre rucksack. Although the poncho provides good protection for the upper body, we recommend wearing overtrousers with built-in shoe covers to protect your legs and feet from the rain.
