The double-walled rims are exactly what you need for zipping along on the asphalt. With just one gear and the motor assistance, this bike is incredibly easy to use.The bike's weight makes it easy to carry.
The Speed 900 E is equipped for daily city cycling. Its single-speed drive train gives you a smooth ride and requires very little maintenance. The chainguard protects your trousers from stains, while the mudguards catch any splashes. The lighting system makes you visible and lights up your way, and the brakes and reinforced tyres protect you from mishaps of any type.
Who says that e-bikes aren't for athletes? Choose between the 3 assistance modes to explore the city however you like. The 244 Wh battery lets you travel further while the motor helps you push off and deal with hillier bits of your ride. This bike's geometry gives it a lively feel that's a real thrill to experience.
The bike's size is a key factor. Please refer to the size guide at the top of the page to choose the right bike size. The aluminium frame comes in 3 sizes: size M (1.6 to 1.7 m) size L (1.7 to 1.85 m) size XL (1.85 to 2 m) Good to know: the bike has been designed to be agile and responsive. If you're between two sizes, choose the smaller size for more responsiveness and the larger size for more comfort.
This e-bike comes with integrated electronics that let you connect your bike to your smartphone and convert it into a "super bike". This means you can see your bike's exact location at any time and instantly know if it has been stolen.
Connectivity, such as locating your bike, has a cost: SIM card, 2G consumption, bike usage data processing, etc. The first year of this service comes with purchase of the bike and is then subject to a fee, (starting from the second year of use) but with no commitment required! You can choose whether or not, from the second year, to subscribe to this package (€2/month) allowing you to use the functions of the Decathlon Geocover (formerly Mobility) App.
A "smart" bike is a bike that has been "augmented" with superpowers! This type of bike gives you a set of features and services that you just can't get from a non-smart, "classic" bike. For example, you'll get an alert when somebody else touches your bike or when it moves without your knowledge. Other features that are handy for cyclists are included, with new ones being added frequently. So these bikes just keep getting better!
With the Decathlon Geocover (formerly Mobility) app, you can take out exclusive insurance with LAKA (costing no more than €10 per month) to give you comprehensive cover against accidents, damage, theft, etc. for your bike, its accessories AND its battery, 24/7, even when using it on public roads. If your bike is not found within 48 hours, LAKA will immediately offer a new replacement bike equivalent to the bike you had.
In the majority of cases, the Bike Recovery service gets your bike back to you very quickly (48 hours on average). You can of course take out bike theft insurance without the recovery service, but it will be more expensive as there's a very high risk that your bike won't be recovered.
