We developed your jacket for wintry conditions: cold, rain and snow. Insulation is made from 100 g/m² wadding on the body and arms. The fleece-lined hood also lets you keep your head well protected and warm. The elastic tightening at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves is the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable.
Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, the elastic tightening at the cuffs and the high collar prevent the cold from entering. Two warm pockets in extremely soft fleece protect your hands from the cold.
The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerber or mm H²0 (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket has a waterproof component (JIS 1092 standard) resistant to 5,000 mm H²O (Schmerbers) before washing.
Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its taped main seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.
Two lined pockets to keep all your accessories to hand (tissues, keys, telephone, etc.) when hiking as well as a secured pocket that closes with rip-tab inside.
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash).
