It is advisable to use a WF7 for surface fishing. For deeper fishing with intermediate and sinking lines, a WF6 is sufficient
The string rubber/cork fighting butt offers three advantages: - it distances the reel from the body when fighting a fish - it offers an additional point of support when pulling the silk line, especially sinking silk lines It protects the rod when it is placed on the ground
All reservoir fishing rigs are possible. Surface fishing with large dry flies, especially in waves. Also perfect for fishing with a dry fly/nymph or dry fly/egg double rig. Sub-surface fishing with an intermediate silk line and a set of chironomids or streamers. At greater depths with a type 3 to type 5 silk line and streamers
